Chic Lavender Wedding at Fitler Club

We’re half way through 2024 wedding season and one of our favorite weddings so far this year was Kelsey and Nathan’s chic city wedding at Fitler Club, a  popular social club with the most gorgeous event space in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia. When LaRue Events reached out to us looking for wedding floral design that would give whimsical “Lavender Haze” vibes, (a subtle nod to a Swifty bride which we LOVE) we couldn’t wait to get involved.

It’s music to our ears when we meet with a couple who lets us know they trust our expertise and Kelsey and Nathan let us know this early on in the proposal process. We were able to collaborate with the planner on unique vessels and signage while sourcing flowers that created a one-of-a-kind design.

In mid May we were fortunate to have an abundance of lavender blooms to choose from through our network of local flower farmers who we always prioritize in our sourcing process. We were able to snag gorgeous, fluffy ranunculus in exotic shades, fragrant lilac, trailing clematis, and blooming bridal spirea.

We went with an oversized whimsical bouquet overflowing with movement and texture for Kelsey’s bridal bouquet. The star of the show was the two-tone ranunculus in white with deep purple edges (to die for!) sourced from Philadelphia Floral Guild. We added trailing clematis, lilac, and hellebore to create a seasonal design. We finished Kelsey’s bouquet with white silk ribbon and fastened a pin to honor a loved one.

Our runner-up for favorite detail of the day is the couple’s wedding cake. Baked and designed with a gorgeous subtle floral pattern by Nutmeg Cake Design, the cake was placed within a stand surrounded by water vials. We added whimsical stems in different heights, shapes and textures to create a chic wildflower design as a focal point in the reception space.

Looking back on Kelsey and Nathan’s gallery had us grinning from ear to ear all over again. This was a wedding and a couple we will fondly think about often!
